Haifa Economic Corporation established The International Convention Center through MATAM Company, a joint venture of Haifa Economic Corporation and Gav-Yam. Today, MATAM continues to promote the center as a key infrastructure for large-scale business and tourism activity, strengthening its position as a leading venue for business events, international conferences, and exhibitions. The company continues to maximize the center’s economic potential in collaboration with professional stakeholders and strategic partners.

The Congress Center was designed as a multi-purpose complex combining conferences, commerce, and leisure, serving as a growth engine for business tourism, conventions, exhibitions, large-scale events, and performances. The center spans approximately 24,000 sq.m (258,000 sq.ft) of built area, alongside an additional 75 dunams (8.5 acre) of developed land. With advanced infrastructure, a performance hall, and exhibition spaces, the complex is an integral part of the MATAM area and its surroundings, contributing to positioning Haifa as a leading destination for international conferences and events, while strengthening the local economy and attracting visitors from Israel and abroad.
