Haifa Economic Corporation, in partnership with Gav-Yam, leads the development and enhancement of MATAM – Israel’s largest high-tech and business park. Established in 1974, the project represents a long-term strategic collaboration, through which the company continues to expand employment areas, upgrade infrastructure, and reinforce the park’s position as a preferred destination for international technology companies.
MATAM spans approximately 377,000 sq.m (4,050,000 sq.ft) of office space and is home to around 80 multinational companies, including Apple, Amazon, Google, Intel, Microsoft, IBM, Elbit, Yahoo, and Philips. The park employs approximately 15,000 people and represents a dynamic business ecosystem connecting industry, academia, and innovation, serving as a key growth engine for Haifa and northern Israel.
The park is managed and developed by MATAM Company, jointly owned by Haifa Economic Corporation and Gav-Yam . MATAM operates two subsidiaries:
- Shetem Ltd., providing management, development, and maintenance services
- Haifa International Congress Center Ltd., managing a complex that includes a performance hall and exhibition and conference facilities
