Haifa Economic Corporation, through its subsidiary Haifa International Stadium Company Ltd. and in cooperation with the Haifa Municipality, initiated and developed the sports complex located at the southern entrance to the city. At the heart of the complex stands Sammy Ofer Stadium – a modern, state-of-the-art stadium built in accordance with international UEFA standards and designed to host sports matches, cultural performances, and large-scale events.
The stadium, considered one of the most advanced in Israel and Europe, includes approximately 31,000 covered seats, private boxes and VIP lounges, fan clubs, exhibition areas, and advanced infrastructure to support a wide range of events. Alongside its ongoing operations, Haifa Economic Corporation is advancing the development of commercial, leisure, and entertainment areas within the sports complex and its surroundings, with the goal of transforming the area into a leading year-round destination in northern Israel.
Construction of the stadium began in 2009, and it opened to the public in 2014. Since then, it has become a central hub for sports, culture, and leisure activities in the city of Haifa.
