HiCenter, a subsidiary of Haifa Economic Corporation, serves as the city’s investment, innovation, and entrepreneurship arm. It operates to advance a dynamic technology ecosystem and strengthen Haifa’s position as a leading innovation hub in Israel. As part of its activities, the company promotes investments in advanced technological fields, with a focus on DefenseTech, DeepTech, and the Blue Economy, while fostering collaborations between startups, industry, and academia.

HiCenter is home to approximately 83 active companies, with over 105 startups that have secured funding and raised capital totaling approximately NIS 1 billion ($320M). The center provides a supportive work environment, including acceleration and mentorship programs, connections to investors and leading companies, and access to research institutions. This activity contributes to the creation of high-quality jobs, attracts entrepreneurs and investments to the city, and supports the development of a growing and innovative ecosystem in Haifa.

In addition, HiCenter operates the National Center for the Blue Economy, promoting innovation, research, and entrepreneurship in the marine and maritime sectors.
